Janet Benge

Janet and her husband, Geoff, attended one of David Hazard's Writing Schools 25 years ago. Since then they have become a bestselling writing team, with more than 2 million books sold.

The Benges are best known for their two youth-audience series, Heroes of History and Christian Heroes (YWAM Publishing). They have also ghost-written numerous books.

Janet is a consummate — and lively — workshop leader who knows how to coach other writers in the craft.

Although trained as a journalist, Julie Ackerman Link became a book editor and a writer more than 30 years ago, holding various editorial capacities at a major publishing house. In 1987, she co-founded Blue Water Ink, providing writing, editing, designing, typesetting, and consulting services for major publishers throughout the U.S. Since then, Julie and her business partners have produced hundreds of books for major publishers throughout the U.S. In the summer, you'll find her at Lake Michigan as often as she can get there.

Jim is a Naturalist and author of the acclaimed Adirondack Wildlife: A Field Guide (University Press of New England, 2009).

A true son of the Adirondacks, Jim lives in the very heart of the mountains, in Newcomb, NY. He also commutes to Geneva, NY, where he is Professor of Biology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Jim will lead us on guided nature walks to "open up" the Adirondacks as only a seasoned naturalist and lover of the wilderness can.
